Volta3s is designed for players who love to compete, express themselves, and play with freedom.
The 3v3 format keeps every player involved from start to finish. With fewer players and more space, athletes get more touches, more decisions, and more opportunities to attack, defend, combine, transition, and solve problems in real time.

Location: Arena Green East, 340 Sharks Way, San Jose, CA
Cost: FREE team registration
Age Groups: 7 - 13 years old
*Players should be 7 years old - 13 years old at the time of the tournament
Format: 3v3 small-sided soccer
Team Size:
Recommended 4–6 players per team
Game Length: Two 15-minute halves
Ball Size: Size 4
Goalkeepers: No goalkeepers
Divisions: Created after registration based on age, gender, competitive level, and number of teams registered

Who Can Play:
The tournament is designed for 7 - 13 year old youth players who want a fun, competitive soccer experience.
Players may register as part of a full team. Teams should include players of similar age and ability whenever possible.
After registration closes, Volta3s staff will review all teams and create the most appropriate divisions based on:
- Age group
- Gender
- Competitive level
- Number of registered teams
- Overall tournament balance
We will do our best to place every team in a division that creates fun, competitive games.
Competitive Levels
During registration, teams will be asked to select a general competitive level.
Division placement is flexible. Final groups will be created after registration to make the tournament as balanced as possible.

For highly competitive players or teams that regularly compete in advanced club environments.

For experienced players who play organized soccer and are comfortable in a faster-paced game.

Recreational / Community
For players who may be newer to soccer, play recreationally, or are looking for a fun community-based experience.

Tournament Format
Teams will be placed into divisions after registration.
Each division will include group play, standings, and a final for the top two teams of each flight.
The goal is to give players multiple games and create a fun, competitive tournament experience for every division.

Game Format
Games will be played 3v3 on small-sided fields.
Each game will include:
Two 10-minute halves
5-minute halftime
No goalkeepers
Kick-ins instead of throw-ins
Fast restarts
Small goals
On-the-fly substitutions
The format is designed to keep the ball moving and maximize player involvement.

What Players Should Bring
Players should come prepared to play multiple games throughout the day.
Recommended items:
Soccer cleats
Shin guards
Water bottle
Team jersey or matching color shirt
Sunscreen

Team Registration
Team registration is free.
One team contact will register the team and provide roster information for each player, including individual contact information.
After the team registration is submitted, Volta3s will use the player contact information provided to send out the individual registration and waiver information for each participant.
All players must complete the required individual registration steps before participating.
